As every year the Nederlandse Naginata Renmei organize a spring seminar lead by a Japanese sensei. It is always a great opportunity for us to learn alot, improve our technique and meet new practicers. This year it was in Rotterdam with Imaura sensei , Kyoshi, from Osaka and 3 of her dojo students. It was a wonderful moment for all of us, beginners and more advanced practicers to learn more about shikake odji, zen nihon kata and bogu practice. Lots of European country answers to the invitation; Belgium, France, Italy, Sweden and even Greece were there to listen carefully to the great advice of Imaura sensei , her students and even 3 of our Godan from ENF member country. At the end of the first day we had a huge dinner party in a restaurant where there was so many things to eat that we were overfilled when we came out of it. The second day of the seminar was more bogu oriented as our European Champion were happy at the end of the day to do a little team tournament against the Japanese fighters who, actually, are the Local Japan University Champion, and, maybe the future fighters that will come in the Japanese team at a future World Championship. So everybody had a lot of fun at this seminar and we all came back home with great souvenirs and technicals details to correct in our practice.
