Details not to forget in a Championship

  • A clean keikogi and a neatly pressed hakama can be details that makes difference in an engi tournament.
  • Don’t forget to have a spare naginata ready and checked.
  • Double check your bogu, maybe your himo are about to break !

Tare Zekken :

Your tare zekken should have these informations :

  • Your country name or 3 letters code for example : BEL for Belgium these  abbreviations  is published by the United Nations , you can easily find it in a dictionary or on the web : http://www.worldatlas.com/aatlas/ctycodes.htm
  • Your name and the initial of your first name for exemple : D. D’hose for David D’hose
  • The country flag is not mandatory but you can add it if you want.

Keikogi  Zekken :

Your keikogi zekken is  a little piece of cloth where you write the same informations  as the one on your tare zekken. You never include your nation flag on it, and you attach it on the front left side of your keikogi.

Keikogi  Flag :

As this is an International championship, you may  want to were the flag of the country you are representing on your left arm.
